Philadelphia Dry Ice has been a South Philadelphia staple for over nearly 50 years. Founded as Jim’s Enterprises by the McGinty family in 1974, today the business has grown into the premier wholesale dry ice and bagged ice distribution company in the Philadelphia area.

Philadelphia Dry Ice sells both slices (blocks) and pellets of dry ice to a wide variety of end users, including grocery stores, food manufacturers, food transportation companies, hospitals, contractors, and pharmaceutical companies.

The company still distributes bagged ice under the JIM’S ICE name, supplying many Philadelphia restaurants, food manufacturers, construction sites, and entertainment venues with bags of ice that come in 7lb, 20lb & 40lb sizes.

Jim’s Enterprises is also know for their ability to provide snow blowing on location and has been used for movie sets such as Twelve Monkeys, photography sets, commercials, and events like the City Hall Skate Board Tournament.
